Clonmel Junction Festival

The Clonmel Junction Arts Festival kicks off this week and runs til Sunday 8th July. Now in its 18th year, the Junction Festival just gets bigger and better every year with live music, theatre, street performance, comedy, visual art, food events, workshops, pop up cafes and much, much more. The beautiful Wells House & Gardens is hosting a Mad Hatters tea party this Sunday 8th July. Come along and meet all your favourite Princesses and the mischievous Tinkerbell. Follow the magical fairy trail through the woods and stop for a delicious treat in Mrs Stone’s Restaurant afterwards. A fantastical setting for some Wonderland fun, Wells House & Gardens is also running Falconry, Build-A-Bear and Lego themed workshops throughout the Summer. For all things floral get thee to Claregalway Castle this weekend for the Galway Garden Festival! With rare and native plants, garden furniture and sculptures, expert speakers, live music, entertainment and artisan food this is a fantastic event whether you are green-thumbed or not. And all in the beautiful setting of Claregalway Castle.

The bilingual Earagail Arts Festival kicks off this weekend on Saturday 7th July. Running in various venues throughout the county of Donegal, this long established festival celebrates native artists in purpose built venues, providing a unique cultural experience for all. With music, theatre, visual arts, family shows, workshops, comedy and dance there is a huge variety of events to enjoy on the Wild Atlantic Way. See the website for more information.

Guinness X Meatopia takes place this weekend at the Open Gate Brewery for 3 days of meat, drink, fire and music. Beer tastings, butchery demonstrations, beer and food workshops along with an eclectic line-up of entertainers, musicians and DJ’s. What more could you want? Specially curated menu’s? Done. The finest, hand selected meats? Done. Fine ales and beers exclusively brewed for the occasion? Done! Top Irish and international chefs cooking up a storm for you? Done!!
