Waterford

The first of the All Together Now festivals takes place this Friday 3rd August on the grounds of stunning Curraghmore House, Portlaw. “A festival for like-minded people, music lovers, passionate performers, families, artists, musicians, creators, rebels, and refugees of a changing festival landscape” this is promising to be a very exciting weekend! Cork

Dowtcha Puppets presents the Cork Puppetry Festival this weekend from Friday 3rd to Sun 6th Aug. From puppet cabaret and Red Riding Hood to good old Punch & Judy, this is a festival for young and old alike to enjoy. Come and listen to guest speaker Corina Duyn who will be introducing her installation in St Peter’s and giving an insight into the world of puppetry. See the website for more details.

 

Limerick

House in Limerick is hosting The Great Gin Fair this Sunday 5th Aug from noon onward, celebrating “the most unusual and curious gins from near and far”. With live music, entertainment, inspiring chats and its own ‘juniper currency’ this is not one to be missed by any gin lover out there!

 

Galway

The biggest event on the Galway calendar and one of the greatest race meetings in the world takes place this week. Concluding on the 5th Aug, the Galway Races Summer Festival is a celebration of racing, hospitality, entertainment, stunning fashion and an atmosphere that lights up the city over the course of its 7 days. So if you fancy a flutter, dig out your best hat and take a trip to one of the most vibrant cities in the country to enjoy the Galway Races.

 

Dublin

Collecting Eggs at Airfield Estate

Airfield Estate, Dundrum are inviting all kids to come and spend a day on the estate to explore their farm, gardens, play areas and much more! Get involved with the egg collecting, milking, meeting the animals and a house tour. There’s also a kids corner from 11am to 4pm with crafts and curious kids activities to enjoy.
