As you know, we are huge supporters of Inspirational Women in Business. Through the articles we write, we have been extremely fortunate to meet some exceptional women, and to have women reach out to us to talk about their own journeys.

One such lady is Ellen Coleman-Wallace.

About five minutes outside the beautiful town of Cashel, Ellen’s business is tucked away to the side of her house in a little cabin, beautifully decked out with wooden floors, soft furnishings and lighting, with aromas that lift your senses.

This is Healing Hands Holistics, a business that finally came into being three years ago while Ellen was on maternity leave with her second son Donnacha.

Ellen is a beautifully soft-spoken lady, who has such an aura of serenity about her. She is incredibly self-deprecating, crediting her husband Kevin as being her rock, with his unwavering support and positivity, and great business acumen.

Behind every great woman, is a great man!

Ellen started out working in the beauty industry over 10 years ago. She gained a lot of training and experience working with Aisling Health & Beauty in Thurles, where they also paid for Ellen to begin her Reiki training.

As much as she enjoyed her work, Ellen felt she wanted to take it to another level – for her clients to not just feel good on the outside, but on the inside as well, physically and mentally.

After gaining her Reiki qualification in 2006 and Reflexology in 2009, Ellen started to develop the idea of combining beauty and holistic treatments, to provide a complete therapy to her clients.

She spent a long time sourcing the perfect products to compliment her treatments, to blend with the ethos of Healing Hands. Finally, in 2017, Ellen found Holos, a 100% organic, Irish range created and produced in Wexford by Niamh Hogan.

This range is truly devine – it is little wonder they are picking up awards left, right and centre! The anti-ageing oil is a client favourite, along with the Love Your Skin gift set. These combined with Ellen’s magical hands give clients a truly heavenly experience.

And a lot of thought has gone into developing Ellen’s treatments.

The 2 hour Walk In, Float Out which combines a full-body Swedish massage, the Holos radiance facial and a scalp massage.

The Complete Sinus Clear, another 2 hour treatment involving ear candling, Indian head massage and reflexology.

Or the 90 minute Sole Therapy feet treat which combines a luxury foot soak, hard skin removal, cuticle work and full reflexology, all topped off with a toenail paint using natural nail polish.

Ellen loves to connect with her clients, to release blockages or focus on areas of concern, sometimes without them even realising! As Ellen says herself, this has been a huge year for women across the board.

It is so important to find that life balance, to not become overwhelmed by pressures, and to find a natural way to cope with that.

But Reiki and Reflexology aren’t the only strings to Ellen’s bow. In January and February of this year she ran a series of workshops called ‘Creating A Vision For Yourself’.

These were designed to focus on the positives for the year ahead, to rid the negativity and manifest a peaceful calm through visualisation and meditation. They were such a success, selling out completely, that Ellen is considering doing more workshops next year.
In the meantime, there are big things on the way for Healing Hands Holistics!
There is a new treatment on the way, one that is pretty uncommon in Ireland. It has taken a lot of work to get this far with it, so Ellen is looking forward to launching it soon.

I am always trying raise the bar and bring my small business to another level.”

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Ellen, a true lady with drive and focus. Her honest confidence in her own abilities really does raise her Holistic therapies to another level.

After enjoying her Sole Therapy treatment myself, I drove away so relaxed and happy, and I slept like a baby that night!

If you ever find yourself lucky enough to be in the vicinity, I would highly recommend taking the time for yourself to see Ellen, a little haven of tranquility tucked away in such a beautiful part of the world.
